     Veleda and Tina Roehl, blood and soul sisters, have been creating performance art together since they can remember. 

     Tina Roehl, aka Run Deep, is a woman who believes in her own power. 

     Veleda Roehl , a Ft. Worth, Texas native, is grateful for the performance family she’s found in the Bay Area. In addition to working with Malia Movement Company/Malia Connor, she’s also been blessed to perform with Latanya D. Tigner (of Dimensions Dance Theater), Aguas Da Bahia/Tânia Santiago, Deep Waters Dance Theater/Amara Tabor-Smith, The Dance Animals/Jessica Fudim, and ASE Dance Theatre Collective WEST/Adia T. Whitaker. 
  
     Veleda teaches yoga and dance to children and adults, and creates performance work in collaboration with artists of many disciplines. Her work has been featured at California State University, Riverside, Yerba Buena Center for the ArtsSan Francisco, Mama Calizo's Voice Factory, San Francisco,  Bay Terrace Theater, Vallejo, CA and Gallery Lombardi, Austin, TX. Veleda holds a B.A. in Queer and Activist Performance from the Experimental Performance Institute at New College of California

     As a vocalist, dancer, choreographer, and actor Veleda's mission is to awaken stories of empowerment within her audiences through a blend of traditional and contemporary, full-body storytelling that is sensual, visceral and inviting.
